On the coast there are the Spanish provinces with the highest international interest, with Alicante (28.4%), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (26.2%), the Balearic Islands (25.6%), Malaga (22.2%) and Las Palmas (19.8 percent ). This contrasts with other provinces inland where the interest of foreigners in purchasing or renting households is hardly any, including Álava (2.2 percent), Zaragoza (2.6 percent), Valladolid (2.6 percent) and Guadalajara (2.9 percent ).

The highest rate of foreign interest for the Spanish municipalities located in coastal provinces is Alicante, followed by Palma de Mallorca, Málaga and Valencia. British customers are in Alicante, with French and German closely behind them. It is important to remember that living in the city is generally not a priority for a typical foreign buyer except in the major cities. The greatest demand is concentrated in areas along the coast.
