In Spain, sharing a flat is 2.9 percent more expensive than a year ago, and the demand is increasing.

According to a report published by idealista, the cost of renting a bedroom in a shared flat in Spain has climbed by 2.9 percent in the last year, putting it at 340 euros per month on average. In turn, the demand for bedrooms has increased by 26.9% at the same period. شقق للايجار في قطر


In Barcelona, where the cost of renting a full property has climbed by 3% interannually, the cost of renting bedrooms has climbed by 2.9 percent, whereas in Madrid, the cost of renting a full property has climbed by 3.6 percent interannually.


Pamplona (15.8% price increase), Almera (13.3%), Alicante (12%), and Logroo (12%) are the cities with the highest price increases (10.3 percent ). The price has dropped in six capitals, with Cadz witnessing the biggest decline (-6.1%), Ciudad Real 4.7 percent, and Burgos 2.5 percent.


Barcelona has the most costly bedrooms in the country, with rents starting at 442 euros a month. San Sebastián (425 euros per month), Palma (417 euros), and Madrid (417 euros) are the next most expensive cities (415 euros). Ciudad Real is the most affordable city among the idealista cities (156 euros a month), followed by Cáceres (164 euros), Badajoz (169), and Jaén (169 euros) (185 euros).


The demographics of persons who live in shared apartments


The profile of those who share flats in Spain is similar to that of last year, however the average age has dropped to 30. They reside in the heart of major cities, do not smoke, do not allow smoking on the premises, and do not accept pets.


Men and women live together in the majority of shared flats (71%) whereas 24.9 percent have just female housemates and 4.1 percent have just male housemates.


The average age of people who live in shared apartments varies depending on where they live. It is easier for the average to exceed 30 years old in towns where rental costs have climbed more in recent years, such as Palma, Vitoria (both 34 years old), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (33 years old), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (33 years old), San Sebastián, Cádiz, Alicante, Santander, or Lleida (32 years old in all 5 cases). The average age of those who share a flat in Barcelona is 31 years old, whereas it is 29 years old in Madrid.


In other markets with more liberal rental markets, on the other hand, the average age of individuals renting a bedroom is lower. The lowest age is in Jaén, Córdoba, and Salamanca (26), followed by Ciudad Real, Segovia, Granada, and Valencia (27 years old in all four cases).


Areas that are warm for the offers


More than half of all shared apartment offers are spread between the cities of Madrid and Barcelona, accounting for 34.1 percent and 19.2 percent of all bedrooms posted in Spain, respectively. Valencia comes in second with 9.2 percent of the listings, followed by Seville (5.6 percent) and Granada (5.6 percent) (3.5 percent ).
